Pharmacist-Led Care

What Is Pharmacy Care?

Pharmacy Care is an in-person health assessment provided by a licensed pharmacist at Nanton Family Pharmacy.

During your visit, the pharmacist will ask about your symptoms, medical history, allergies and current medications. Depending on the concern, the pharmacist may recommend non-prescription treatment, provide medication advice, perform an available test, prescribe medication when authorized and appropriate, or recommend care from another healthcare provider.

Care within a pharmacist’s scope

Pharmacy Care is delivered within the pharmacist’s professional scope. It is not a physician-led medical clinic and does not replace every service provided by a family doctor or other healthcare professional.

  • Hemorrhoids
  • Acne
  • Nail fungus
  • Rashes and certain minor skin concerns
  • Suspected minor skin infections
  • Shingles symptoms
